About Us
Mission Statement
To provide high quality professional Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging compliance, accreditation, registry review, and continuing education through excellent programming, comprehensive support services and resources, and expand markets and utilization as a major outreach arm of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Technologist Section, ARRT, and NMTCB, and to advance the integration of teaching and learning with technology.
The PET/CT Training Institute provides educational programs for a diverse student body in traditional, nontraditional and online delivery formats. The main eCampus is located in Naples, Florida. Through quality teaching, The PET/CT Training Institute is committed to provide all students with opportunities to develop the knowledge, understanding, and skills necessary for successful employment. Committed to a students' first philosophy, The PET/CT Training Institute prepares graduate technologist for careers in Nuclear Medicine, CT, MR, Nuclear Cardiology and PET/CT careers. Inherent in our Mission is service to the community. This service includes community partnerships, involvement with various constituencies and various continuing education programs.
Program Objectives
The following objectives are designed to meet The PET/CT Training Institute's mission and objectives.
- To develop a student's ability to perform entry-level Nuclear Medicine Technology and PET tasks in a professional, patient-focused manner,
- To develop students' ability to think critically and communicate effectively,
- To assist students in becoming more proficient in compassionate care of patients in a team-focused healthcare environment.
- Prepare students for jobs in the radiological imaging fields.
- Prepare students for their examination in Nuclear Medicine Technology, PET, MRI, CT, and Nuclear Cardiology Technology certification boards.
- To provide a resource for obtaining continuous education credits hours for maintaining compliance of applicable state licenses.
- To provide a database of Mock Registry Review questions in CT, MR, Nuclear Medicine, PET, and Nuclear Cardiology.
- Provide a virtual location for students and faculty to gather and discuss educational materials.

Tim Marshel, R.T.(R)(N)(CT)(MR)(NCT)(PET)(CNMT) is� registered by The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologist and The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, and holds licenses in� Nuclear Medicine , Nuclear Cardiology , Positron Emission Tomography , Magnetic Resonance , Computerized Axial Tomography , and Radiologic Technologies.� He holds a degree from Del Mar College in Radiologic Technology with over 25 years of experience in imaging services.�
Marshel, a former Academic Instructor of Nuclear Medicine Technology at Cuyahoga Community College and Keiser University, and he has received numerous outstanding teaching awards for his dedication to teaching excellence.� Marshel has taken this experience and has brought it to his peers via a sophisticated web-seminar format.
Marshel founded The PET/CT Training Institute after seeing a need for imaging technologist around the world to receive information on current state of the art practices in multi-orthogonal imaging.
